Car Crash After Police Chase In Union Springs Leaves 2 Dead

Officials in Bullock County are investigating a wreck that left 2 people dead after a short police chase.

The victims have been identified as 73-year-old Hattie Walker and 25-year-old Bryant Harris.

State troopers say the wreck happened when Harris refused to stop for Union Springs Police. That’s when he collided with Walker. The crash happened on U.S. 82 within the Union Springs city limits.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died. Harris was not wearing a seat belt and pronounced dead on the scene.

Two more passengers were in the car with Walker at the time of the wreck. They were also taken to the hospital, no word on their condition.
