Montgomery Couple Charged with Aggravated Child Abuse
On Thursday, February 23, MPD responded to the 8700 block of Will Newton Drive in reference to assisting DHR with a child welfare investigation.
Contact was made with Randall Deal, 31, who attempted to flee from police. Once Deal was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of a firearm. A search of his residence revealed additional firearms and narcotics accessible to a child. The resident was deemed as having unfit living conditions as well. Â The child was unharmed and released to DHR.
Deal was charged with Attempt to Elude, Certain Person Forbidden to Carry Pistol, Chemical Endangerment of Child (Reckless), and endangering welfare of child.
Melissa Deal was arrested on February 24 and charged with Aggravated Child Abuse.
