Two Deatsville Men Arrested in Sexual Contact with Minor Investigation

Montgomery police  arrested Keith Barnes, 38, of Deatsville in reference to an ongoing investigation that began on February 21, involving a teenage female victim.

During the course of the investigation MPD determined that Barnes made contact with the victim through social media and traveled to meet her on two separate occasions for sexual contact.

MPD arrested Barnes on February 26 and charged him with two counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree sodomy, and two counts of traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex act.

MPD previously arrested another adult male, Brandon Phaly, 23, in connection with this investigation. That arrest was made on February 23.
