Pets Rescued from Montgomery House Fire

Montgomery Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the 6000 block of Eric Lane Thursday morning.

A Montgomery Fire spokesperson says heavy smoke was coming from the attic when crews first arrived on scene.  Residents made it out of the home safely.  Two pets were removed from the home and are being treated by medical personnel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
