Victim Identified in Fatal Ann Street Accident with Pedestrian

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating an October 23 motor vehicle crash that resulted in one pedestrian fatality.

On Friday, October 23, around 5:35 a.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to the area of Ann Street near I-85 in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, Lawrence Ball, Jr., 66, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene. There were two vehicles involved, a 2004 Honda Odyssey and a 2018 Ford Mustang. The drivers of the vehicles received minor injuries as a result of the collision.

MPD’s investigation indicates that the Honda was traveling northbound on Ann Street when the pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck. After being struck by the Honda, the Honda was then struck by the Ford.

There are no charges anticipated. The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing and no further information is available for release at this time. This will be the 16th Traffic Fatality of 2020.
