Very Warm and Breezy Tuesday
Not much change in the weather today as it will be another warm day with more clouds than sun, and once again we will mention a few isolated showers during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs again will be mainly in the mid-80s, but also, winds will be breezy today, out of the southeast at 10-25 mph at times.
HEAT LEVELS ON THE RISE: For the second half of the week and continuing into the week, an upper ridge will strengthen across the Deep South, setting the stage for dry weather with rising temperatures. Look for mostly sunny days, fair nights, and highs in the upper 80s Wednesday and Thursday, with 90s likely by Friday.
This ridge and accompanying surface high will steer the rain and storms away from Alabama, deflecting and keeping the activity west and north of the state.
HOT WEEKEND WEATHER: This looks to be the hottest weekend so far this year across the state as the ridge remains in place. The weather stays dry, we are forecasting a good supply of sunshine both days, allowing for temperatures to range from the upper 80s to mid-90s across the state of Alabama.
CONTINUE HOT NEXT WEEK: The ridge holds, meaning hot temperatures and little, if any rain through the week with mostly sunny days and fair nights. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s, making it the hottest week so far this year.
Get ready, those air conditioners are about to be needed full-time!!!
