CAMPAIGN 2024: Justin Castanza enters race for Montgomery County Commission
CAMPAIGN 2024: Justin Castanza has announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for the District 3 seat of the Montgomery County Commission.
Castanza is the President of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. He is a Montgomery native and is a youth minister at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. In 2019, he was named YMCA Person of the Year.
“We have a lot of issues facing our county, and I have always been someone who wanted to roll up my sleeves and get to work,” Castanza said. “Whether it was working at Camp Chandler, leading youth groups on overseas mission trips, or working in a restaurant at a young age, I have always been a doer and that is the attitude that I commit to bringing to the Montgomery County Commission.”
Castanza lives in Montgomery with his wife Meg, who is an English as a second language teacher at Percy Julian High School, and their three children. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master of Science degree from Mississippi State University.
As Action 8 News has reported, in September, current District 3 County Commission member Ronda Walker announced that she would not seek another term in office. She joined the commission in 2014.
