Celebrate the new year with events throughout the area
Action 8 News has a list of some ways that you and your family can celebrate the new year.
In Montgomery, you can enjoy the “2024 Downtown Countdown.” It will be at Riverfront Park, starting at 10PM Sunday night, lasting until 1AM. There will be food vendors, fireworks and music from The Established Band.
In Wetumpka, the annual fireworks show will be at Gold Star Park. Just make sure to be in place by 11:59 PM Sunday!
In Evergreen, you might want to check out the “Conecuh Sausage Drop.” The fun starts at 10PM at Liberty Hill Place with food trucks and music, then the Conecuh Sausage Box will drop at midnight.
If you don’t want to stay up late on Sunday night, you can take the whole family to Eastdale Mall in Montgomery for the huge Balloon Drop that’s become an annual tradition. That happens Monday at noon near the roller skating rink inside the mall.
