Dining for Charities: Alzheimer’s Association gets $1,813 check
Action 8 News is presenting another Dining for Charities check to a local non-profit.
We presented a check for $1,813 to the Alzheimer’s Association. This represents part of the proceeds from the ongoing sale of gift certificates on WAKA.com. Those gift certificates are for local restaurants and other businesses.
“We’re so thankful for y’all for doing this for us,” Melisa Mote of the Alzheimer’s Association said. “This check will be a part of the River Region Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which takes place in Montgomery November 9, and we will use it for research, new medication and for patient help and caregiver instruction.”
