Town of Pike Road selected to participate in DesignPlace program

The Town of Pike Road has been selected to participate in a special partnership that will help revamp one of the town’s seven town centers.

DesignAlabama will work with Pike Road’s planning team to elevate the historic Founders Station area through its DesignPlace program.

DesignAlabama is a citizen-led non-profit operating in partnership with the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Their mission is to advocate for the collaboration of the design arts and their importance in creating and enhancing place in Alabama.

During their 3-day stay in Pike Road, DesignAlabama professionals will focus on the Historic Town Center around Founders Station, taking a deep dive into the history and natural resources in the area that make it a great space for future quality of life features.

Town leaders are holding two community input sessions on April 11 and April 13. The sessions will allow Pike Road residents to share their thoughts and ideas about what they’d like to see in the Historic Town Center.
