Trinity names Kensley Simmons as their new Girls Varsity Soccer coach

Kensley Simmons will take over the Trinity Girls Soccer program as their next head coach.

“It’s with great pleasure that we introduce Kensley Simmons as our new Girls Varsity Soccer coach. Kensley brings a solid soccer background and experience to our team! Kensley is very passionate about the sport of soccer and is committed to developing young players. She is committed to creating a positive and supportive team environment that fosters growth, teamwork, and exemplifies Christian values. We are excited to have Coach Kensley Simmons lead our program and look forward to a successful season ahead,” said Athletic Director Brian Seymore.

Simmons takes over the program during her junior year at Alabama State University where she is on the soccer team and is majoring in Coaching and Health. After the 2023 season, Simmons was named to the SWAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and was also named as the Hornet’s Most Valuable Player.

Reflecting on her new role, Simmons enthusiastically said, “I am truly honored to be named the next Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach. I feel incredibly blessed to be trusted with this program and to be around such a talented and fun group of girls. I am super excited to continue to share my passion for the game and help the team grow on and off the field.”

Head of School, Suzanne Satcher, also expressed her excitement about the appointment: “We are blessed to have Kensley Simmons as the next Head Coach of the Girls’ Soccer program. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where players can thrive, and she is focused on setting high expectations and guiding the team with integrity. We are confident that Coach Simmons will lead our Girls’ Soccer program into a bright and successful future.”

Simmons takes over the program from former head coach Analyn Coker who helped lead the Wildcats to multiple state championships.
