JAG High School to continue remote learning due to COVID-related illnesses

23montgomerypublicschoolsMontgomery Public Schools says JAG High School will continue remote learning Friday due to COVID-related illnesses.

The plan was to try to reopen Friday, but officials are taking the extra day to make sure the school is ready for students and staff to safely return.

MPS said in a statement earlier this week that due to a significant number of staff absences involving reports of COVID-related illness, the high school would move to remote learning.

For students: Assignments will be accessible via Schoology. Teachers will provide links to videos and live lessons, and they will also email students the assignments using their school email addresses. All assignments can be accessed using personal or other available electronic devices.

MPS says the school will undergo thorough cleaning and sanitization before reopening. Masks and disinfectant wipes will be available for students and staff upon return.

MPS says normal in-person learning schedule will resume on Monday, August 19.
