Millbrook Middle School teacher arrested for criminal mischief and harrassment
A Millbrook Middle School teacher has been arrested for criminal mischief and harassment involving a student.
Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson tells Action 8 News that on Thursday, his officers received a complaint from a parent regarding an altercation between the 13-year-old student and a teacher.
The parent told officers that the teacher, identified as 27-year-old Austin Dorberth, of Millbrook, approached the student and physically shoved him causing the student to drop “his cell phone and come out of his shoes.” The parent said the child’s cell phone was damaged.
After reviewing the case, the Millbrook Municipal Court Magistrate issued warrants for Dorberth’s arrest.
Chief Johnson said Dorbeteh turned himself into Millbrook police the next day.
Dorberth is currently out on bond, pending his appearance in municipal court.
