2 dead, 3 injured in Bullock County shooting
The State Bureau of Investigation has launched a death investigation after two men in Bullock County were shot and killed over the weekend and three others were injured.
ALEA says SBI launched the investigation at the request of the Union Springs Police Department.
Officials say around 3:00 a.m. Saturday, agents responded to the 300 block of Waugh Street in Union Springs where a shooting incident occurred involving multiple individuals.
During the course of the investigation, agents identified two deceased victims.
The first, 19-year-old Adrian Tarver, of Auburn, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The second, 19-year-old David Benton, of Union Springs, was taken to the Bullock County Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Three other individuals were also injured and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
Nothing further is available as the investigation remains ongoing.
