Alabama Cattlemen’s Association welcomes DYW contestants and host moms
The contestants from the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama took a break from rehearsals this week to have lunch downtown.
The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association welcomed all 44 contestants and their host moms Thursday to their headquarters on South Bainbridge Street.
All of the contestants stay with a host family throughout the week of festivities.
While this week was a little different having to deal with snow in our area, the fun festivities help the young women take a short needed break from rehearsals to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.
The Distinguished Young Women of Alabama preliminary rounds start Friday night at Frazer Church with the finals taking place Saturday night.
