WATCH: New Distinguished Young Woman of Alabama to be named this weekend
A new Distinguished Young Woman of Alabama will be named this weekend.
The first preliminary takes place Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the second preliminary is Saturday at 1 p.m. A winner will be named during finals at 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
As with previous years, the competition is being held at Frazer Church on Atlanta Highway in Montgomery.
Action 8 News Anchor Ellis Eskew spoke with the reigning Distinguished Young Woman of Alabama DeAsia Jones and DYW Chairman Michael Jones about this year’s program.
