Montgomery man charged with trying to choke victim

Montgomery police have charged a man for trying to choke a victim.

Police say around 11:00 p.m. Monday, they were called to the area of Hay Market Street. That location is in the Hampstead community.

According to court records, the victim is under the age of 18.

Officers identified 41-year-old Dustin McNeil, of Montgomery, as the suspect and he was taken into custody.

McNeil has been charged with Domestic Violence by Strangulation and is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond.
