ACTION 8 UPDATE: YouTubeTV, Paramount reach deal to keep CBS, other channels on streaming service
YouTubeTV and Paramount, the owner of CBS and other TV channels, have reached a new contract deal.
That means CBS, BET, MTV, TV Land, Comedy Central and other Paramount channels won’t be removed from the streaming service’s lineup.
Several negotiation deadlines had passed last week, leaving YouTubeTV customers worried that they would lose the channels, at least temporarily.
That would have included WAKA Action 8 in our area, even through WAKA and our owner, Bahakel Communications, LTD., were not involved in the contract talks.
Terms of the new contract are not known. CBS called it a multi-year deal.
Members, we’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal to continue carrying Paramount content on YouTube TV. That means you still have access to channels like CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon. Add-ons like Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and BET+ also remain uninterrupted.
