UPDATE: Suspect in deadly Dallas Co. rampage denied bond

A Dallas County Judge denied bond for the man accused of going on a shooting spree and beating an elderly woman to death.
District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr. says 42 year old Lorenzo Edwards will continue to be held without bond after an Aniah’s Law hearing Thursday.
Edwards is charged with murder — two counts of attempted murder — and two counts of assault. He’s accused in a series of violent incidents — that left four people shot — and one person dead.
Evidence presented during the hearing suggested that Edwards could be a threat to public safety — if he were released on bond.
“When we caught Mr. Edwards he had two guns still, the two guns he used to commit all these crimes, and he had reloaded those guns, which tells law enforcement, which tells people, which tells the judge that he wasn’t through. Then in the interview process, he specifically said he wasn’t through,” said Sheriff Mike Granthum.
District Judge Vernetta Perkins Walker presided over the Aniah’s Law hearing.
