Pike Road Patriot Fund honors special members of the community

Special members of the Pike Road community were honored over the weekend.

The Pike Road Patriot Fund held its Appreciation Day Saturday for members of the military, school staff and first responders at the Market at John Hall Store in Cecil.

Organizers say the free event, which featured food, discounts and live entertainment, was their way of showing gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of those who serve and support our community.

The Pike Road Patriot Fund is an independent booster club that provides financial assistance for Pike Road Schools. The sole purpose of the Pike Road Patriot Fund is to fund arts and athletics for Pike Road Schools.
