Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosts golf tournament

The Montgomery county sheriff’s office invited golfers to hit the greens yesterday in its annual charity golf tournament.

The tournament was held at Arrowhead Country Club.

This is the second year for the tournament, and they had 27 more four-person teams participate this year, playing a total of 18 holes.

All proceeds will benefit the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Foundation, funding community outreach programs like rodeos, scholarships and kids’ camping trips.

“We are bigger and better than we were last year, so it lets us know that the community supports our foundation that supports the things that we’re doing in outreach, that we do to our community. I mean I’m speechless to be able to come out here and see this number of people out here,” Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham said.

The golfers also enjoyed a complementary breakfast and door prizes.
