8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Ford is recalling more than 273,000 SUVs for a brake issue.

The recall affects 2022-2024 Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators.

Ford says the SUVs have a problem with leaking brake lines. That could cause the vehicles to take longer to stop, which could lead to a crash.

Ford says no wrecks have been reported so far.

Ford and Lincoln dealers will inspect the front brake line and, if needed, made repairs or replacements for free. Owners will be notified by mail on May 26.
