ACTION 8 UPDATE: Suspect wanted for murder in Opelika now in custody

ACTION 8 UPDATE:

The suspect wanted for murder in Opelika is now in custody.

Opelika police say 35-year-old Tempest Vanshay Reese turned herself in around 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the police department.

Reese was arrested for murder and taken to the Lee County Justice Center.

ORIGINAL:

Opelika police are looking for a woman wanted for murder.

Officers were called just around 12:30 a.m. this morning to the 600 block of Comanchee Drive.

Once they arrived, they found a crashed vehicle with the female driver suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

During the investigation, 35-year-old Tempest Vanshay Reese was developed as the suspect and is now wanted on a murder charge.
