Pike Road Schools holds teaching institute to prepare for new school year
Pike Road Schools has held its teacher institute as it prepares for the upcoming school year.
Today, a total of 317 employees including teachers, bus drivers and other staff all came together for the institute.
Pike Road Schools Superintendent Dr. Keith Lankford said it was a day to celebrate the accomplishments that the Pike Road school system has made. The school system just finished its 10th year.
“I think it’s imperative because we’ve listened to our teachers, we’ve laid out plans and this year our goal and our motto is going to be ‘One Team One Goal,’ so we’re bringing all of our schools together, all of our departments together to be one team, not five or six individual schools or departments. We are one Pike Road Schools,” Langford said.
The first day of classes for Pike Road students is Thursday, August 7.
