TJMaxx coming to Wetumpka

One of the nation’s leading retailers will soon be coming to Wetumpka.

The City of Wetumpka announced Friday that TJMaxx is coming to the Toulouse Village Shopping Center on U.S. Highway 231.

Known for offering high-quality, brand-name fashion, home décor, beauty, and more at affordable prices, TJMaxx will bring a new level of shopping convenience to residents and visitors.

“We are thrilled to welcome TJMaxx to Wetumpka,” said Mayor Jerry Willis. “This is an exciting addition to Toulouse Village and a great benefit for our residents. Retail growth like this strengthens our local economy, creates jobs, and enhances the shopping experience in our city.”

TJMaxx acquired the space through an agreement with the property owner and leasing company after the previous tenant’s lease had expired.

City officials say an opening date will be announced once it becomes available.
