Cooler temperatures, lower humidity, low rain chances this week

Showers and storms were scattered about yet again Sunday afternoon. Where and when it was dry, the sky was partly to mostly sunny during the afternoon. High temperatures ranged from the upper 80s to low 90s. A band of showers and storms was still ongoing at 9PM across far south Alabama, near the Florida state line. After that exits our area, the rest of Sunday night looks dry with a clearing sky and lows in the upper 60s.

A somewhat rare late-August cold front pushes through our area Sunday night. The last week of August may be more of a Fall preview weather-wise, with cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and low rain chances. Monday still looks warm, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s. Thanks to lower humidity, heat indices remain near or equal to air temperatures. Otherwise, expect a mainly sunny sky. Monday night looks cooler, with lows in the 60s.

High temperatures remain in the 80s for the rest of the week. Low temperatures fall into the 60s each night. Our area remain mainly dry through Wednesday, though at least isolated showers appear possible Thursday and Friday. Labor Day weekend looks similar weather-wise, with high temperatures in the the upper 80s, lows in the upper 60s, and at least isolated showers possible each day.
