U.S. Air Force DAFITC 2025 conference underway in downtown Montgomery
The Department of the Air Force Information Technology and Cyberpower 2025 training and education conference is underway in downtown Montgomery.
Also known as DAFITC 2025, it welcomes many industry leaders along with the military community for an event that the city of Montgomery hosts annually at the Montgomery Convention Center.
More than 193 companies have partnered with the military for the event, and over 4,000 people have registered to attend. The training event for the U.S. Air Force brings together the nation’s top military leaders, IT professionals and cybersecurity experts to address challenges and opportunities in today’s digital world.
“We have a lot of market share leaders that are here. Your big names, your Dell, your AWS Amazon, even Google, GDIT, they are not only speakers, but they are exhibiting here,” Charisse Stokes, the executive director of Montgomery Tech, told Action 8 News. “Being able to bring in nearly 200 exhibiting companies and totaling almost 4,500 individuals that are IT professionals, that’s huge for Montgomery, but it gives us an opportunity to really shine.”
“This year, it’s centered around readiness and efficiency, which is what the secretary of the Air Force, what their core values are. So seeing everybody being excited about the event, we have lots of attendees, so we just want people to come on out and support us,” DAFITC Chair Leona Lynn said.
The conference runs through Wednesday.
