Montgomery tennis program gives opportunity to underserved kids

Dozens of kids had the opportunity to hit the hard court to learn how to play tennis.

‘One Serve One Community’ gives kids ranging in ages 8 to 17 in underserved communities to chance to learn the basics.

The free four week course not only helps develop skills, it also allows to learn important life lessons, likes sportsmanship, teamwork and confidence.

One of the program’s directors, Katrina Wilson, was recently honored at the Blue Gray National Tennis Tournament with The Jim Wilson Award.

The award is given to those who serve and give back to the community.
