Troy Bakery featured on Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship

A Troy resident is gearing up to be the first Alabamian to compete to be champion in The Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship.

Gia Barnes, owner of bSweet Bakery and Dessert Boutique, knows her way around a kitchen and can now showcase those skills on a national stage.

Chosen to be the first Alabama contestant  on The Food Network’s Holiday baking Championship Gia feels the opportunity is a divine one.

Gia’s late husband pushed her to showcase her skills in this way and she feels his desire had something to do with this opportunity.

As a self taught baker she has learned all she knows from her mother and grandmother. She now passes that knowledge on to her sons.

Their bakery is the final gift of love from her husband.

Holiday Baking Championship premiers onMonday November 3rd at 7 p.m. central standard time.
