City of Millbrook holds ceremony to honor veterans
The city of Millbrook is honoring its veterans, even before the federal Veterans Day holiday.
The annual Veterans Day appreciation ceremony was held today at the Millbrook Civic Center. All local servicemen, women and their families were invited out to the special event to honor the veterans who fought to keep our country safe.
“It’s a great day for us,” Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley told Action 8 News. “Our crew does a great job putting this together and it couldn’t be for a better cause. All these gentlemen you see walking around, ladies and gentlemen, that did a great job for our country, and we appreciate what they do and what they’ve done. It’s just an honor for us to say a few words to them today and tell them we appreciate them.”
