Montgomery Regional Chamber holds 153rd Annual Meeting, honors Gov. Kay Ivey

The Montgomery Regional Chamber’s 153rd Annual Meeting brought together leaders from across the state to celebrate the area’s economic success.

Yesterday’s sold-out event centered on a milestone — the 20th anniversary of the opening of Hyundai’s auto assembly plant. Since that time, the plant has sparked other investments, job creation and innovation.

In addition, the chamber awarded Governor Kay Ivey with the first-ever Capital Legacy Impact Award. The recognition was to honor her for the responsibility, influence and leadership the governor has demonstrated in Montgomery.

The meeting featured conversations with Claudia Marquez, the chief operating officer for Hyundai Motor North America and · Ellen McNair, Alabama Secretary of Commerce.
