A Montgomery man has been convicted of federal drug trafficking.

A federal jury convicted 36-year-old Arsenio Hall of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, a synthetic cannabinoid, and marijuana, Acting U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson said.

According to court records and evidence presented at trial, law enforcement began investigating suspected drug-trafficking activity in Montgomery County late last year. As part of that investigation, investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on December 4, 2024, at a Montgomery home.

During the search, law enforcement found more than three kilograms of 99% pure methamphetamine, more than 200 grams of cocaine, approximately three pounds of marijuana, and 349 grams of a synthetic cannabinoid in a bedroom closet. Investigators collected other evidence linking Hall directly to the drugs, including fingerprints, Davidson said.

Hall was initially arrested on state charges. In July, a federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment against Hall, with a fifth count added in November. Following a three-day trial, the jury found Hall guilty on all five counts.

“This case reflects the strong collaboration between federal and local law enforcement here in the Middle District of Alabama,”  Davidson said. “I am grateful to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration for their hard work and careful investigation, which helped bring this case to a successful conclusion.”

A sentencing hearing will be scheduled in the coming months. Hall faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years and up to life in federal prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
