Man injured in criminal trespass incident in Auburn
A man has been injured in Auburn after he ran from police following a criminal trespass complaint.
The incident happened around 12:40 a.m. Saturday morning in the 200 block of South Donahue Drive.
Once officers arrived, they found multiple people inside the building and attempted to detain them for further investigation.
Police say one of the individuals, a 22-year-old male, fled the scene on foot.
During the foot chase, police also say the man fell from a significant height and sustained serious injuries. Officers immediately rendered medical aid and initiated life-saving measures.
The Auburn Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to assist.
The individual was transported by helicopter to a regional hospital for further treatment. He is currently listed in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
