What’s Happening: February 13-15
There’s plenty to do in the River Region this weekend as we celebrate both Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day!
There are Mardi Gras events happening in Montgomery, Prattville, Wetumpka and Auburn to celebrate this holiday, which got its start in Mobile way back in 1703, before New Orleans began its own celebration.
If you’re looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it will be Sweethearts Day at the Montgomery Zoo. There’s also a picnic on Autauga Creek.
The Capri Theatre is presenting The Princess Bride.
The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is paying tribute to Montgomery’s own Nat King Cole.
And you can remember Prince and Whitney Houston at the Davis Theater.
