Pleasant Grove and Montgomery Catholic meet in the 4A Girls Central Regional Final
The Montgomery Catholic Knights and the Pleasant Grove Spartans fought it out on the court in the Central Regional Final on Tuesday.
The Knights entered the game sitting at 22-6 and the Spartans came in at 18-9. The Knights one a close one after pulling away late 57-48.
Montgomery Catholic shot nearly 46% from the field, and forward Hannah Smith was the leading scorer for the Knights with 19 points.
Knights point guard Jordan Robinson, guard Kierstyn Green, and forward Hannah Smith all won All-Tournament Team honors in their win over the Spartans. Smith also won MVP.
Montgomery Catholic will now head to Birmingham to try and bring a state championship to their school.
