Evergreen Shooting Results in two Deaths
A shooting Sunday night at an event in Evergreen resulted in the deaths of two Greenville residents. According to the Conecuh County Coroner’s office the shooting occurred on West Front Street in Evergreen. Shots were fired inside the facility with three injuries resulting in two fatalities.
Greenville resident, 19 year old Melvontaie Loveless, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jakale Herbert, also a resident of Greenville, passed away March 9th as a result of his injuries.
19 year old Ledarrius Tyrone Allen was arrested in Georgiana in connection with the crime and is currently held in the Conecuh County Correctional Facility.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Georgiana Police, Evergreen Police Department and Conecuh County Sheriff’s Office have worked together to make an arrest in the case. The Alabama Bureau of Investigations is leading the investigation.
