Man charged with murder in fatal shooting in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have charged a man with murder following a fatal shooting.

Police say 29-year-old William Slater is charged with killing 29-year-old Jamichael Manora of Montgomery.

Yesterday at about 3:45AM, police say they were called to the 4100 block of Piedmont Drive. That’s where they say they found Manora, who was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police say the preliminary investigation determined that the incident is domestic related and that Slater was arrested at the scene.
