Two charged after narcotics bust in Evergreen

EVERGREEN, Ala. (WAKA) – Two people face drug-related charges in Evergreen after a bust that police say involved cocaine, crack, marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl and other narcotics.

Police say on Thursday, April 2, they executed a search warrant at a home on Wild Avenue.

That search led the arrests of two people on the following charges:

– Joe Nathan Rankins, 40 years old:

• Trafficking Cocaine
• Possession of Cocaine w Intent to Distribute
• Possession of Marijunana 1st Degree
• Possession of Marijuana w Intent to Distribute
• Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
• Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
• Unlawful Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
• Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (THC Vape Pens)
• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Chemical Endangerment of a child
• Attempt to Elude

-Candace Patrice Crosby, 37 years old:

• Chemical Endangerment of a child

100 grams of Cocaine
40.56 grams of Crack/Cocaine
14.93 oz of marijuana
1.7 grams of Fentanyl & Methamphetamine mixture
1 gram of MDMA (Ecstasy Pills)
0.5 grams of unknown substance
9 THC Vape Pens
Large amount of untested substance of suspected “Chem”
Rice Krispie edibles containing untested substance of “chem”
Digital scale
$698 of U.S. Currency
9mm Taurus handgun
