Wreck in Lee County leaves one person dead, another injured
LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A one-car crash in Lee County has left one person dead and another injured.
Alabama State Troopers say at about 7:4PM on Friday, April 3, a man was driving a car that left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree. He was taken to a hospital in Columbus, Georgia, where he died on Easter Sunday.
He has been identified as 25-year-old Cashton Canady of LaGrange, Georgia.
A passenger in the car, 23-year-old Jameria Johnson of Opelika, was injured and was taken to a Columbus, Georgia, hospital for treatment.
The crash happened on Lee County Road 379 near Lee County Road 2213, approximately six miles north of Smiths Station.
