Local marching band to perform in the America 250 parade
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – Our country is turning 250 this year and many high school bands across the country are participating in America’s birthday parade this summer. That includes the Prattville High School marching band who have nearly 100 students ready to travel and perform as they represent the state of Alabama.
The Prattville High School are the only band from the state of Alabama that was asked to perform in Philadelphia in front of the whole country. The band students, along with their Band Director Chris King, tell Action 8 News about how excited they are to represent their school and their state in this historic parade this summer.
The Prattville High School band will be performing in the America 250 parade on July 3 in Philadelphia.
