A Gradual Warming Trend Getting Underway
A quiet and stable weather pattern has settled in across the Deep South this week. Temperatures will gradually begin warming and we’re expecting some summer-like heat over the weekend and most of next week. A mainly sunny sky with translate into us keeping little to no rain in the forecast, drought conditions will continue.
Our sky will be partly cloudy through the overnight period. An east to northeasterly wind will continue to keep a pleasant air mass locked in place for now. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
We see very little changes heading into Thursday and Friday. High temps remain in the upper 70s, with morning lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Rain chances will remain slim to none over the same period.
By the weekend, a warming trend takes over. Temps climb into the 80s for highs, with overnight lows in the 50s. High pressure will dominate, bringing plenty of sunshine and keeping rain chances near zero. There is a hint that rain chances may try to creep up just a tad going into the latter half of next week. Doesn’t look like anything significant but at this point, we could use anything we could get.
