PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – An investigator with the Prattville Police Department has been named that department’s 2025 Officer of the Year.

CrimeStoppers 215-STOP announced Zayne Holt took home the honor.

Officials say Holt has demonstrated outstanding dedication across a wide range of cases, consistently solving crimes and assisting fellow investigators in securing key evidence leading to arrests and prosecutions.

His work was especially notable in two armed robbery cases at the Texaco station on Interstate Park Loop in July 2025.

Despite no physical evidence at either scene, Holt led the investigations, identifying the suspect’s unique method and vehicle through extensive video analysis and follow-up.

His efforts resulted in arrest warrants for two counts of First-Degree Robbery, as well as search warrants that led to the recovery of critical evidence, including clothing and the firearm used. He also obtained a full confession from the suspect.
