Hundreds come out to annual Pike Road Whiskey-A-Go-Go event
PIKE ROAD, Ala. (WAKA) – The annual Pike Road Whiskey-A-Go-Go event brought out hundreds this Saturday.
There were over a 100 different whiskey’s to try for those that came. Wine, bourbon, and other adult beverages were all available for tasting.
There was live music, a cigar lounge, and some barbeque to go with the whiskey. People were able to participate in a silent auction that included different whiskey’s, whiskey glasses, and much more.
“All the money goes to the kids at Pike Road Schools. We’ve given them a little over $75,000 so far, and we are anticipating probably about $30,000, this year, to go to the schools. We give it to people like the robotics team, the choir, and the band, kids that we want to make their experience just as powerful in high school as somebody that’s the star football player. We have a great time, it’s really the best party in Pike Road,” said Chairman of Pike Road’s Whiskey-A-Go-Go event, Bill Cornwell.
