Police: Woman who wrecked car had been shot
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police say a woman who wrecked a car was found with a gunshot wound.
Police say at around 11:30PM Saturday, June 6, they were called to the 1800 block of Austin Street, where the single-car crash happened. That’s where they found the woman driver, who had injuries from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say it appears the shooting happened in the Gibson Street area, which is between Lower Wetumpka Road and Fairground Road.
No other information has been released.
