Two people arrested after police chase in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – Two people have been arrested after a police chase in southwest Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Assistant Chief Deputy Wesley Richerson told Action 8 News that the chase ended with a crash on U.S. Highway 31 near Union Academy Ada Road in Zion, which is west of Ramer.

Richerson says one suspect was arrested at the scene, while the other ran into the woods. The second suspect was arrested after 2-3 hours on the run.

No one was hurt.

Richerson says the sheriff’s office was assisting ALEA on the case. Action 8 News is awaiting further details.
