Robertson beat Jay Mitchell 55% to 45%. She currently works in the attorney general’s office under incumbent Steve Marshall, who couldn’t run again due to term limits. Mitchell gave up his seat on the Alabama Supreme Court to run for the office.

Robertson, whose family hails from Dallas County in our area, will face Democratic nominee Jeff McLaughlin in the November 3 general election.
