ACTION 8 UPDATE: Woman dies after being injured in Montgomery house fire
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Montgomery Fire/Rescue Department says a woman who was injured in a house fire earlier this week has died.
Fire investigators received word this morning that the victim, 66-year-old Valerie Moore, had died at a specialized burn treatment hospital.
The fire was reported at about 2AM on Wednesday, June 24, at a home in the 2900 block of Alta Road. Upon arrival, crews found a single-story home with flames visible through the roof. Firefighters gained entry into the home and found Moore inside. She was rescued and received advanced life support care before being taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
