MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Three people are charged with attempted murder in a shooting that happened on McGehee Road in Montgomery earlier this month.

Court records show that on Friday, July 17, Zyriah Bailey, Nyzell Coles and Nikko McWilliams were involved in the shooting, in which a male was shot in the temple, causing him to lose his right eye.

The victim said he walked into the Chevron gas station in the 2900 block of McGehee Road to get some items. That is at the corner of McGehee, Fisk and Carter Hill roads.

He said the three men approached him as he walked inside.

After leaving the store, the victim said the three men followed him. The victim said one of the men had a gun and demanded that he give up everything while the other two men stood around him. The victim said he blanked out and was able to walk to the 2800 block of North Colonial Drive to get help.

Court records state there are other businesses in the area that are equipped with video surveillance and the suspects were identified through CrimeStoppers.
