Wife shoots husband multiple times in Lee County
LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says a woman is in custody after she shot her husband multiple times.
It happened around 3:42 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 100 block of Lee Road 224 in Smiths Station.
Deputies arrived on the scene to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, GA, for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies say the suspect was not on the scene at the time, but she was later located at a nearby gas station and taken into custody.
The unidentified suspect was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
