Suspect arrested in deadly family dispute in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have arrested a man in a family dispute that turned deadly.

It happened around 2:55 p.m. Friday in the 3100 block of Hemon Road.

Once officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Dayshon Clark, dead from a gunshot wound.

Police have charged 53-year-old Quinny Cook with Manslaughter.

Court records obtained by Action 8 News say once officers arrived, Clark’s wife told them that her stepfather, Cook, shot her husband in the head and fled the scene. Contact was then made with Cook before he returned back and was taken into custody.

Cook is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
